Every morning, as a part of my morning routine, I read a 2-3 minute mantra. It’s a combination of quotes, insights, and reminders.
It’s filled with messages that I once read and thought, “this is me”.
Instead of forgetting about them and carrying on with my life, I saved those messages and I read it every morning to remind myself of my values and priorities.
Football coaches give pep talks before every game. War commanders give speeches before battle. Every day is a battle, and you need a pep talk.
Below is the mantra I read every morning as of now, August 24th, 2015.
“I’ve had many worries in my life. Most of which never happened.”
Today you will make many small steps that will one-day amount to a long and meaningful journey.
Remember that right now you are exactly where you need to be, and you are doing exactly what you’re meant to do. Don’t let anyone convince you otherwise.
You make the world a better place simply by smiling. You provoke smiles from strangers and emanate happiness.
“Life isn’t about how hard you can hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.”
You improve everyday. You learn everyday.
“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go with others.”
You can have results or excuses. Not both.
You have BIG dreams. So be patient, because you will one day achieve them.
It’s all about the journey anyways. So, enjoy it as much as possible.
The best things in life aren’t things.
Appreciation over expectation.
Experiences over possessions.
The most important possession you own is this very moment.
Done is better than perfect. Remember that creative people see their work for what is isn’t, and everyone else sees it for what it is.
You are aware of your weaknesses and you will work on them little by little until they become your strengths.
Don’t sweat the little things. And life is all little things.
You are strong. You are confident. You are successful. You are young.
You create meaningful art that inspires others and helps people.
You make the world a better place.
You have good intentions and should therefore always be confident in your words and your actions.
Don’t compare yourself to anyone except the person you were yesterday.
Now, go and change the world!
Write Your Morning Mantra
Reading a mantra can help you start off your day right, while reminding yourself of your values.
How many quotes you heard and thought, "that's amazing! I totally agree!" but then you forgot about it ten minutes later?
Every morning, you have a choice of looking like this...
Or like this...
Which is it gonna be?
